first it was you
just you, and your friend too
who i thought may have been kind of cute

so i flirt, no harm,
just flirt and talk with him
and what i got was a really nice friend

so we hung out
at school, at lunch, whenever, ya know
thats when i got to know you

and you, yeah you,
you're the one i need
but way too untouchable to approach

well, you're you!
its you, you and you.
what do you want me to do?

so i flirt, no harm,
just flirt and talk with you
and i think you might be flirting back

but i'm not sure
so i flirt, just flirt, thats all
and wait til you begin to see

but behind these eyes
lies more than you know
a want for something real and true

and i see me, and you
i still dont know what to do
but wait for you to read
and see what i need

you. that's all, just you.
