I was compelled
I had no choice
Beyond my control
Were the things I could not change
Was the very thing
That made you run away
Show me compassion
Sympathy in all the right places
Some forgiveness
A change of heart
A second chance
To try again
To fail if we must
How are you doing
Its been such a long time
It only gets lonelier
With each passing day
As you fade
And fade
Until there is no one there

Sometimes the only real lie is what we try and feed ourselves... Nothing is achieved through lying, and if a moment of honesty closes a door, then that door was never truly open to begin with. At least being honest with yourself and others doesn't leave you wondering "What if...?" for the rest of your days... That's my opinion anyway. I hope you find your answers once you seek them out.
