You know you need to do it
You know it must be done
But when the oppurtunity approaches
You lose all faith and run
Your mind just seems to fail you
Your courage just seems to fade
Your body will just leave
All of your heart's hope in the shade
He's standing there in front of you
Silently teasing you to death
But he has NO idea
About the agony you deal with
So he starts to walk away
Walk out of your life for good
Your heart starts to scream loudly
When really it is your voice that should
Suddenly the moments gone
Your chance has blown away
He's walked out of your life
But your heart needs him to stay
How do you deal with the pain inside?
How can your heart repay the debt?
How do you live with yourself,
When you feel such strong regret?
You feel you need to bring the moment back
To correct it and make it right
But time refuses to work that way
And time always wins the fight.
The regret may not appear upon your face
But it might glisten in your eyes
But they cant see that the sun in your heart
Is blocked by cloudy skies
When a chance is brought upon you
When you're not sure what to expect
Do what your heart desires
Or you will never lose the regret
The regret is oh so painful
It will leave you alone and cold
So when it comes to a single moment
You must be strong and bold
No moment lasts forever, you know
The seconds will come, then leave
There's no way to bring it back, it's gone
That truth seems so hard to believe
So realize what you want right now
Make sure your mind and heart is set
So that way, you're ready to do whats best
And avoid the shadowing regret
