Dejavu

Contributed by Willofree on Thursday, 15th February 2007 @ 06:37:33 PM in AEST
Topic: surreal

Cumulous cloud formations,
traverse the expansive sapphire-like sky.
A host of God's angels on ready alert,
a lightening bolt will beam them to earth;
brightly reflecting off Alabaster.

A gust of wind tousles our hair,
combed by the spirits present there.
Searching for an explanation,
to life's unique situation,
a mystery of space and time.

In the stillness our Conductor is poised,
a single melodious songbird, the only noise.
Nature's voice vibrates to crescendo;
a magnificent refrain, a tribute to spring.
What an awesome symphony!

Nature's show, a spectacle to behold.
Savor the nostalgic memories that blossom and grow,
A familiarity emerges,
as if we had been there before.
A bewildering sensation unfolds.

Excitement permeates the air,
with an awesome array of associations.
Is this a form of reality renewed?
Perhaps a reincarnation...
certainly an episode of dejavu!

Reading this gives me a somewhat euphoric feeling, and I can't help but think there was a certain elation in penning this piece. I really think this should have been placed under the "Inspirational" topic, but maybe it's just me. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Will.

I especially like the buildup to the third stanza!
An awsome symphony indeed!

Gotta love those "just there" writes. I like the playful way you move around the rhyme pattern. The first time it changed up threw me a bit, but then I went back and settled into the words more, focusing less on the way they were woven and more on the imagery. I rather like this one Terry.
