Born Twice To Fly.

Contributed by bleedthelove on Friday, 23rd February 2007 @ 10:30:44 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A butterfly with tainted wings
Sorrow is the only song she sings
Raised from a cocoon in the dephts of hell
A life of suffering she knows too well
With faith in her heart
And an undying love
She will break free
She will rise above
Shes beautifully tragic
With a wicked kinda magic
Shes pure destiny
Pure lunacy
Spawned from evil, cruelty and greed
Love is the only thing she will bleed
She has forgiven
Gave all that could be given
With a fire inside
Melting away the scars she hides
Butterfly born twice to fly
She is the butterfly of hope
With a love that will never die...
Fly butterfly...
Fly.

What beautiful images you've used! I love the ending because we don't know if the butterfly does manage to fly away, but the poem is so hopeful that we want to believe she has. Great write!

i like your use of the butterfly in this piece, though still not many would believe or acknowledge that a butterfly is a living breathing emotional being, your piece dives right into what every creature has, a soul. well thought.
