The sudden rush of excitement
I know youve felt this too
When the one who makes your heart beat fastest
Is right in front of you.
With a smile on their face
And arms out
And I whisper to myself,
So this is what all the hype was about.
Because when we kiss, I cant think of nothing else
Overwhelmed and all smiles
And when I look at them and back at the world
I think its gonna last a while.
Because their words
Sound more like a song
And in my mind
They can do no wrong.
Love is them
Love is you and me
Love is love
Love thats meant to be.
The fights for love
The fights to stay together
The break-up to make-up
To make the relationship last forever.
The flowers in their locker
The poems, the words, the heart
Both hands clasped together
Never be torn apart.
Flashes preserve the pictures forever
Memories of love, never to be forgot
Attempt after attempt,
Praying for only one shot.
The songs and the dance
Their body against mine
Sweet words and loving graze
Hands still intertwine.
The rain, the sun
The night and the dark
The first look, first smile
The first spark.
The hands, the eyes
The nose, the lips
The way they held me close, yet so far
The movement of their hips.
The savior of a broken heart,
Mend it and fall
Cant love, but its lust
But it was still deep all in all.
First love comes,
Try it once more
Things more complicated
than ever before.
Shot glass after shot glass
Drowning in what I thought was fun
Then wake up, look up
Realizing they were looking at the same sun.
Airplane lands, thoughts run wild
What was then and what is now
New friendships begin, old ones end
All the time I wonder how.
This was the happy love
This written without the tears and lies
Now the happy love within me
Dies.

I loved this write until it died then I was upset... Tee hee...
