I envy you

Contributed by -why_not_let_me_live- on Monday, 26th February 2007 @ 06:06:19 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick,
Lying awake I hear every second go by,
It makes me think, am I wasting my life,
Am I really living each day or just surviving them,

I try to think, what do I want in life?
I struggle to come up with an answer,
Am I spending enough time, with the ones I really should be,
Am I showing them who I really am,
I dont want to admit it but the answer is no,

What have I accomplished in my 16 years on earth,
Nothing really springs to mind,
Is there really nothing I or others,
Could be proud of me for,
I sit back and start to reflect on my sad existance,

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock Tick,
Those seconds turn into hours, hours into days,
Before I know it months even years will go by,
Do I have enough time to repair myself,
Before my time runs out,

It could be any day now,
But I dont even know where to start,
Does anyone really ever know,
I envy those who do,

I liked this poem .... don't envy ever .. it's not healthy .... and certainly don't envy those that know when their time is going to end ... such as my sister... whom has Cancer ... she knows her days are few .... I am sure she would prefer to not have known what she now knows ....

At 16 there is time to change ... infact at 60 there is too .. .EVERY day we are on this earth is precious ...

Good luck .. nice poem

Dee xx

You're doing fine.
time is just a boundary to defy things.
You're young plenty of days to repair yourself
-good write-

I liked this piece alot.. its very straightfoward and you just express yourself fully.. I understand exactly how you feel.. but no one knows exactly where they are going in life or where they will end up.. some people think they do.. you have a whole life ahead of you to worry about that.. go out and have some fun while your still really young.. very great write

I like! alot!
and for the first commentor who said envy is not healthy dont envy
that's a rehtorical statement,
to envy you need a certain person n she's just saying in general . . .

I can associate, I know wat you mean. It starts by stating what you are here for
