Kiss Away

Contributed by wizard on Monday, 26th February 2007 @ 09:08:17 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Could my love be but a kiss away?
Or have I kissed love away for the
Last time with my misguided lips?

Could an angels sigh be just a poem away?
As her breath is taken with each word as
She lay her golden eyes upon the page.

Could my restless nights be laid to rest,
Even without her at my side? Her splendid
Scent engulfing the room, the world.

Could a golden dream be but a nap away?
Where Id see her smiling face and Id be
Unafraid to hold her tight, and never let go

Or could happiness be just a call away?
Waiting to be made, just one call to
Hold such a tender love within my arms again.

Yet again I kissed away this yearning love.
Now I sit with shallow dreams gone astray
Pondering the irony of love being a kiss away.

Very good piece...brings to mind a song from long ago...and when two lovers miss...a kiss is still a kiss..I think Jimmy Derante sang it...anyway..good piece.

Dearest Paul~
This brought a tinge of sadness to fill my heart my dear friend.
There will be alot of kissing done til you find the lady that is right for you Paul~
I hope that your dreams are fulfilled real soon and that after all the kissing is done you shall find the lady that shall love you and your beautiful loving heart forever my dear friend.
The best of luck to you dearest Paul~
love n hugs,

Very well penned!
The flow of each stanza shines with hope, then that last stanza brings it all home. Like being brought right to the edge only to be snatched away.....

This is poetry in its truest form. I couldn't possibly put a comment on here that would do the poem justice, but I had to post anyway, just to show my appreciation...
