Winter Bride

Crystalline branches, frozen white flowers
Twine across the winter brides bower.
Hazed pastel sparkles in topaz and rose
Dance across gloved hands and slippered toes.
White iced sugar granules pack underfoot,
Forming new icy paths where once bare earth was put.
Windows festooned with etched feather lines,
Benches bedecked with icicles and pine.
Drifting snowflakes cling to her dress
As she steps off the reindeer sleigh soon to be blessed.
