nothing good about me
and certainly
nothing special about you
Not a creative bone in my body
I struggle to let loose snippets of anything meaningful
Capable of no love for others aside a predetermined few
I see the immoral lurking in all things
I take flight
I grow wings
I adapt to my surroundings
I have no choice
A fly on the wall has no voice
A scream in the night
A solitary fist-fight
No one notices
No one rushes
To my aide
My rescue
No thank you
For smoking
Killing the system
Debunking the myths of our time
Twisting and turning this fleshy heart
A ball of cotton
Floating on a clothing line
Upwards towards the heavens
Where clouds make love
The rain drops collect
Before they pour
The wetness from above
No matter what
I will always be there for you
If you ever need me
If you ever need to talk
Feel the need to purge
Your souls secrets
I am acceptant
I am all ears and half-brained
Mesmerized
In you I shall remain
In your eyes
Is all from which I can not refrain

oh my jyss .. there is a sadness in here. And, something else I seem
to have pulled from between the lines .. a kind of soft acceptance,
but with a hope for something better as well. (The last stanza really
tore me up)
This is so heavy it is dripping. But I love it. It is exceptional.

Awwww... this has me thinking of the days of the Pale Blues and such... Well, I guess what I mean to say is this write inspired a feeling of nostalgia in me when I read it. It gives off a vibe of heavy-hearted, long inactive feelings toward someone/something. The obvious nostalgia factor cannot be escaped, nor can the sentiments. Lovely piece.
