Unsaid words

I lay here in the emergency
room in my bed
slowly falling into
the abyss of death

to the right of my
your hand is resting
upon mine looking at me
with those longing eyes

deep in side our hearts
we were truly in love but
we dare not say anythingto the
other for we were afraid of the outcome

you turn on the radio
-an attempt to lightenup the mood
this puts my soul at ease
as I start to hum the soft tunes

holding your arm you ask
for one last dance,I smile
at this and give him
my hand

I stand up and instantly
fall to my feet, right before I hit
the ground you catch me in
your arms and I forget everything

lifting me up bridal syle you
do a few twirls to the music
and I start to laugh for the
first time in a long while

your my best friend i'll be
there for you whenever I swear to
you i'll be there to love you forever
and ever

as the music stops I start breathing
in rather deeply
as you start moving in closer
to me

Deb..you say ever so softly
in my ear I..beep...beep
sturgling in his arms now it's
getting harder to breath

"Doctor!" you scream out you looked
as if you were about to cry I than start
to see a white blurr of lab coats this
reminds me of angels decending from the sky

"don't go now,you can't just
leave me hear all alone with nobody
to care for in this cold harsh world"

at the time I couldn't think
of the exact
words to say so instead I
just sang:

you are my best friend.... i'll be there for you whenever I promise i'll be there to love you forever....and..BEEEEP

"No!"you scream out to me
don't die I Love you,but there
I layed in the same hospital bed
dead with no reply

For it was to late I was
already dead unspoken words
were truly made out to be
unsaid

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
