i reached into my pocked and withdrew a smile
placing it on my face to see if it would fit
looking into the mirror to see how i looked
liking what i see i decide to keep my smile
as i looked in the mirror i see sparkles in my eyes
looking closely to see how good they look
i notice they seem to blend with my smile
liking what i see i decide to keep my sparkles
there is a glow to my face they say comes from inside
i look at it study it feel it it does look rather nice
i see how others respond to my sudden glow
liking what i see i decide to keep my new found glow
all these reflections of my appearance soothe me
how people perceive me brings me comfort
to be acceptable to everyone makes me happy
liking what i see i decide to keep myself
