Daddy's Love

Contributed by oneir8dude on Tuesday, 27th February 2007 @ 11:33:11 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Just when you came into existence
Everything changed and the old went
Sunny days were all around
Shadows of yesteryear hit the ground
In love with you Ill always be
Can you open your eyes and see
All my heart I unconditionally give to you
You take it and leave no matter what I do
On my knees I nightly pray
Under Gods watch you wouldnt stray
Remember the days that have just past
Daddys love still and always will last
And when you are up all thru the night
Doing the maternal things in moonlight
Never did I want this for you
Endless joy would only do
Enter my doorway and walk thru
Daddys love will help you thru
So stop the games and come straight home to me
Youre all I need, perfect strangers can surely see
Oh youve made a mistake
Under my arm its not to late

Come home girl

Thank you my friend for the poem that you have given me and my daughter it was an overwhelming display of emotions that I felt as I read your masterful piece of work. You sure do know how to bring a daddy to tears. Once again thank you and may God bless you and yours.

Scott

Blessings to those that help others
