All the dreams I have that I know will never come true...
The thoughts in my head that torment me, haunt me in the night...
Memories playing over and over as daydreams and nightmares
As I search for peace each day-
Another hopeless dream?
I cast a shell into the sea,
Trying to imagine my troubles washing away
But my mind only sees yet another faded dream.
I walk around everyday,
And pretend to be happy,
But the mask never fits.
I search for an understanding hand,
Lost my self in the journey-
Or maybe someone's loveless eyes.

| Dreams such a wonderful phenomenon ... they can be so please and at the same time torment our gentle emotions... dreams are what they say an expression of our deepest desires... something that we cannot have or have yet to obtain... sometimes it can be so frustrating to enjoy dreaming and be interrupted by the day and leave our dreams behind... ever try and dream some purposely its very hard to do and i believe impossible... your subconsious mind is uncontrollable you cannot choose what to dream it comes as it goes... great expression in the poem "memories played over as dreams or nitemares" could they be memories or just dejavu <-- (Not sure about spelling) great write though |
