When it's dark outside
And you're scared to move on
I'll be your guide
I'll save you from your con.
When misery is all around and I might
Be frightened to let go
You'd be my light
Save me from what I know.
I've never been so close
To someone as you
You'll admit faster most
That you don't always know what to do.
I've never had a friend
Quite like you
Until the end
I'll be here too.
Nothing will stand in our way
Not a man nor a woman
Nothing they say
Will change this plan.
Always remember that
When you can't move ahead
And you're scared to look back
I'll always be right beside you, like I said.
You'll never cry alone
I'll always wipe away your tears
Even if your heart turns to stone
I'll fight away your fears.
When you fall
You'll never have to pretend
I'll help you feel tall
And forever I'll be your friend.
