needle

Contributed by priss on Sunday, 4th March 2007 @ 09:26:37 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

the needle is left stuck in my arm
and all the days have melted into one;
the sting doesn't sting anymore
my body lies still, my heart is numb.

as i stare at the light of the moon
the poison is finding its flow
my eyes dare not blink, although
the urge to succumb only grows.

"I've seen the needle and the damage done..." ~Neil Young
Work it out here and keep the pen flowing.

To write like this with honesty and the intenseness along with the hidden desire to survive, you have more going for you than you know. Just take it slow and and keep writting. Some how it'll all happen for you. It usually does. A nice clean and presentable style you have. sorry for your pain. Wishing a
gentle healing to you.

I have seen the effect in a medical world of the morphine that takes away pain. I imagine any other drug self administered is also taking away pain.Having studied and learned my own lessons about pain and dealing with it those who suffer have long roads to travel...but so worth it.This is a strong piece as it is so easy to succumb...so hard to accept the battle. Great piece well done.
