this world is changing for the worse
its like somebody put a curse
on our future from the past
i just hope it doesnt last
my heart gets broken every time
i read about another crime
or see a story on T.V.
about some more brutality
an innocent child lured away
by a stranger every day
who doesnt even show remorse
at another families loss
this world is changing for the worse
its like somebody put a curse

I just hope it doesnt last
because of mistaken identity
someones shot down in the street
a victim of more useless crime
but it goes on all the time
i hope its not too late to take a stand
and make more people understand
if we try to help each other
we can make a greater future
