The sun was shining the sky was blue ,today I thought,.. Hmmm Garden MUST DO! So out I go with fork in hand, the gardening type you understand!.... No, wait, I think I'll sweep the leaves ... but first the heavy pot plant heave ... Ahhh now maybe, if I rid that moss? and into the recycler toss ...?
Must find a bag thats nice and strong, and chase the leaves it won't take long! The gardens only well now lets see? How long can the garden be? I reckon a hundred and fifty foot .... and with all the winds its filled with toot !... I stand way back and look on ahead .... I really must clear that flower bed !
Oh my what's a girl to do? I saw one weed there yesterday and now theres TWO! Right then ... wonder what it is to be? Or should I make a cup of tea? Well that would be nice but times moving on and soon the lovely sunshine gone! Ok. I'll sweep the leaves there first, and then I'll go and ease my thirst ...
These leaves wont stay in one place for long! hark I hear the Thrush's song .... Ahh now that makes me want to smile, I think I'll stay a longer while Just drag that weed from flower bed, jump on it twice make sure it's dead! Well goodness me I'm nearly done, it seems the gardening war I've WON!
And now I drink a sip of tea ... and gaze upon natures sweet beauty .... How wonderful it all looks again, I remember well the last time when .... The flower beds looked oh so pretty in this garden of Kent far from the city .. I sigh and sit and take all in .. and realise how worthwhile gardenings "bin" ....

malcolmsdreamgirl, I must say you make me want to go out and tinker in my garden, I notice through the winter the ground is harden. With fork in hand down on my knees, a peculiar position for all to see lol. I really enjoyed the creative presentation of this wonderful poem you have composed for your readers. Excellent job my dear friend.

Ahh a subject so close to my heart...and how you do it such justice...and it sounds like you know all about it as well, the ups and downs of it...and also the sheer pleasure it brings. well done.
