It's All About the Little Things!

Contributed by Franciswolf on Monday, 12th March 2007 @ 12:55:29 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The radioactive rays pour in through my bar windows at night,
And all my hidden electronic gems glisten and light.
My prison is made into a toxicity show.
The guards come to watch as my digits explode.
One tells the other, Its quite the sight, and hes never seen it before,
The other nods and says he comes by every night around four.
The two watch me sleep in a poisonous bed,
With thoughts circling round my bio infected head

Its all about the little things!
Like how a register rings,
How we murder kings,
And market sufferings,
How a brass knuckle flings,
Like how you tear a flys wings,
And you watch it crawl on the ground,
And how now it dont make a sound.

A God fearing man makes love with a child that I know,
Hes trying to persuade him before his little mind grows.
The sanctuary just keeps on teaching till he is exposed
And the boy becomes a camera target, a symbol and posed.
People would smile at his sermons, the preaches hed make,
On saving our souls while his was free for the take.
If you cross out the negative and you make your mistakes,
People will often forgive you for your own good wills sake.

Singing its about the little things!
Like how a register rings
How we murder kings
And market sufferings
How a brass knuckle flings
Like how you tear a flys wings
And you watch it crawl on the ground
And how now it dont make a sound

I surf on melting ice caps and I ride on the waves,
Till I reach the sunshine state and sleep in the chopped everglades,
Then I jump up on a gray cloud and come down on the acid rain
Into the flows of the water in third world countries we label insane,
Where I give them my bullets and teach them to shoot straight,
So one day we can friendly duel by the oppositions of hate,
Where Ill take my combat boots and kick them square in the jaw,
By the concepts of constitution and my Uncle Sam law.

Where its written Its all about the little things!
Like how a register rings
How we murder kings
And market sufferings
How a brass knuckle flings
Like how you tear a flys wings
And you watch it crawl on the ground
And how now it dont make a sound

I also LOVE the part at the beginning.. "Evil walks a tight rope, ignorance is its net" Ooh that gave me chills.

Oh my god, This is one of the most amazing poems I have ever read. I am at a loss for words. This is such an intense poem I LOVED all of the 5th stanza its so powerful
I surf on melting ice caps and I ride on the waves,
Till I reach the sunshine state and sleep in the chopped everglades,
Then I jump up on a gray cloud and come down on the acid rain
Into the flows of the water in third world countries we label insane,
Where I give them my bullets and teach them to shoot straight,
So one day we can friendly duel by the oppositions of hate,
Absolutly breath taking! Awesome job!

A fantastic write...probably a great song if you have a guitar and need some powerful words to write your masterpiece. Wow.
