walls of doubt

Contributed by poemprophet on Thursday, 15th March 2007 @ 09:24:19 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

through the years i have been trying
to find a love that was not lying
about the way he really felt
with one touch he'd make me melt
but my heart i shut down tight
i would not let it take flight
it was hurt too many times
by deciept and lots of lying
it was hard to trust again
till i found you as my best friend
my heart grew wings a little more
you helped me open up the door
and knocked down my walls of doubt
letting all my love flow out
into a world of tenderness
that i feel with each kiss
and warm embrace that i receive
leading my heart to believe
that love and laughter can be found
in your arms so safe and sound

A true write of inspiration to all who may feel that love doesn't leap forward into heavenly embrace and smile on face.....sing your wisdom of a truth that is loves rollercoaster, built better and more exciting a ride each time. Well done

Very nicely done. I'm sure most of us know how this feels, though it's sad to say so. This is inspirational because it tells us not to give up hope. After all, for some people, hope is all they have.

Keep it up.
