when death rang

Contributed by rubyreddangel on Sunday, 18th March 2007 @ 06:50:54 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

When the phone rang
I never thought it was the call of death.
The words that were uttered to me from the other end
Were words that were unkind,
and then they said we lost our friend.
I sat there in disbelief wondering how could this be?
Thinking to myself , if this is a joke? it's not funny or
Maybe it was just a rumor or someone made a mistake.
Knowing that it wasn't your time,
It wasn't your fate.
Not one tear dropped, when i heard the news
I just hung up up the phone and put on my shoes.
I drove by the house to make sure it wasn't true.
As I drove by slowly I saw your friends,
ya family and your whole crew.
Just standing there shedding tears,
looking like they were thinking about you.
It was then, that I was convinced and
didn't know what to do..
DEATH RANG
