people should take time and see
that quality not quanitity
is what we need down the line
to keep our family feeling fine
millionaires just give out cash
every time their children ask
this just leaves them spoiled rotten
not taking the time to know them
they are raised by made and servants
never kowing they deserve more
like family meals every night
and parents arms to hold them tight
pictures showing fun and laughter
so kids lives dont turn to disaster
theres really just one thing to know
love should be the thing to show
so children can grow up believing
money isnt worth recieving
if families are just torn apart
with no love coming from their heart

| One of the best things I've ever learned from my mother - don't love things and use people, use things and love people. Sadly, the unfortunate circumstances of materialistic parents occur in families that aren't even particularly wealthy. Thanks for the fine poem, may all of the kids who are given money instead of love find it in their hearts, not their pockets, to do quite the opposite with their own children one day. Keep it up! |
