A river has a life span As do you and I. It runs from it's beginning, And continues till it dies. At times it may flow freely, Unchanged for many days. But other times a sudden turn Will slow it on its' way. It has its' highs and sudden lows, As we have joys and painful woes. It carries life beneath its' waves, Much like we carry a newborn babe. Sometimes when we see the end, We find out it was just a bend. Then finally merging with the sea, As my mind and spirit shall merge with me.
