The Need

Contributed by trixxx on Wednesday, 28th March 2007 @ 08:49:46 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

You know the times, know the feeling
But you've got to learn the injury before you get the healing
You realise like a child how much you need to know her
But your timid mind tells you not to show her
let it go
You'll learn not to learn, my friend
I don't know

You can try one thousand times before you get it right
But its the bad choices that'll get you through the night
If you don't try, you can't lose
If you don't think, you can't bruise
Let it show
You'll be there in the morning, my friend
Wait and see

You've got to feel the moment
And revel in the feed
You've got to know the passion
To love, to live, to bleed
To put that pen to paper
To plant that foreign seed
If you want to feel the power
You've got to feel the need

You can live and judge, or die and win
Its the tears and the chaos that sets you from the sin
Don't worry about the hypocrites that stare through the dark
You'll see them when your vision blurs, hollow and stark
Let it grow
I'll know you when you see me
Maybe

You've got to feel the moment
And revel in the feed
You've got to know the passion
To love, to live, to bleed
To put that pen to paper
To plant that foreign seed
If you want to feel the power
You've got to feel the need

I love it...the chorus is like a magical chant...I'm sure I'll be humming this all day..brilliant piece.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
