This is what I get for trying to be happy
This is what I get for trying to be alive
This is what I get for trying to smile
This is what I get for trying to be happy
Trying to simply breathe and be alive
This is what I get for trying
another part of me withers and dies
And I don't know what's wrong with me
am I trying to hard to simply be?
Everytime something comes along positive
maybe I just hope too hard
This is what I get for trying to love
this is all I get evertime I could
carry on like everyone else would
but not me I fall apart
This is what I get for trying to be strong
This is what I get for attempting to move along
this is what I get for having a fragile heart, it bleeds too easy
This is what I get for trying to be happy
This is what I get for trying to be alive
this is what I get for trying
another part of me has withered away and died
