Once upon a time nothing could tear us apart
The day we met plays over in my head
From that moment you had my heart
There's no love now just hate instead
Everything I thought you were then was a lie
You changed once you had me
Once you took the pain away now I only cry
Yet I hung on not wanting to see
I used to be happy but that's no longer true
Still I held on for our love once conquered all
You changed so much now I don't know you
I can't give in this time don't expect me to call
You aren't the man I fell in love with
I realize now it will never be the same
You never try I'm always the one to give
I wish it was different but you'll never change
