Here I am now
Standing straight and tall
Without a guide
Im sure Id fall
Ive come a long way
And Im sure you know
Without your help
I dont know where Id go
I see myself differently
In a much better light
Without your faith in me
Id have lost my own fight
Im a soldier fighting on
And my general was you
Without your lead
I wouldnt know what to do
A mentor will show you
How to succeed in life
I know with you as my mentor
Ill reach unimaginable heights
If time separates us
My memories will stay
Ill remember my teacher
Who showed me the way
