I used to hold your hand while you slept
I used to cry for you, shedding all the tears you never wept
I never had to break down your walls
Cuz I could always see right through
I used to see your fragile heart, your soul,
The truly genuine side of you
I loved the things about you that nobody else understood
And everything that no one else would do for you, is everything I would
Redefined and with all my heart I knew I could
I never questioned my feelings for you, there was never any doubt
I loved you with my entire existance, from the inside out
Hurting you is something I could never fathom to do
Your everything to me, the most sacred thing to me in life is you
I know I've told you this before, this is stuff you've already heard
I just believe a persons character is measure by their loyalty to their word
See I gave you my word I would always be true
Never hurt you, and stick by your side the whole way through
I told I would do right with you, be unlike the rest
Love you in ways you've never been loved, always give you my best
That more than just a promise, it was my vow
I've been loyal to my word, and I still stick by it now
True till the end is the only way I know how
You were my best friend, my love, my hero and so much more
I saw the meaning of life in you, and your still the one I adore
A love like this can never be broken
Not through distances stretched, or words unspoken
It still lives on in my heart and mind...
