I wish
I could be
the one and the only
I wish
you and me for eternity
but wishes don''t come true
just thoughts whispered in the blue
left alone with forgetfulness
so no one will care
just hopes that will tear
I wish
Life could be true
something you can look forward to
so everyone can understand you
I wish
you could have friends you can trust
instead of ones that cuss
But wishes don't come true
because I learned that from you

| This poem has a sad but true lesson about life. Things are not what we wish them to be and reality can be quite disappointing. It is a very nice and realistic poem. Keep up the writing. |
