"Hi, Bob! Just stopped in to say
I wanted to see how you were doing today."
"Well, Since you've put it just that way,
I'd have to say that I'm doing okay."
"Okay? Just okay?"
"Why aren't you good, Bob?
Why are you just okay?"
"Because the girl I love left me
And it's taken me this long
To get back to feeling this way
That's why I'm "just" Okay."
"Well, Bob, I must be on my way
But I'm glad to know you're doing okay."
In a time that recently passed
A few months ago next Saturday
You took your love away from me
Things stopped going my way
So now I'm just okay.
Holidays are a special time
Meant to be spent with those you love
Last year at this time, I had your heart
And you hand fit mine like a glove.
But now you've gone away
So now I'm just okay.
I'm glad she's found someone to make her smile
While she's so far away.
But if she were to decide to come back to me
Then that would be... Fantastic!
