Wheels tread the hot pavement as we cruised along till in amazement, glimpsed a strange and shocking sight a rectangle shape engaged in flight.
A silvery rectangle in the air above the trees it hovered there. We listened for sound but heard not one, and watched it glint in the afternoon sun.
We could not believe that such a thing would fly so high without any wings. Such power it had to possess to make the law of gravity seem so less.
It moved slowly and angled down to some unknown place on the ground. We looked back but it was gone, then the subject was left alone.

Very well put...it does not say what perhaps it could have been. Just a description which leaves the readers imagination go where it choses. |
