Maybe you're like my pillow
A nice place
For my head to lay
When I rest
& when I'm awake
Maybe you are
Maybe you're like my blanket
The warm face
That comforts me
Through out my day
When I'm here
& when I'm away
Maybe you are
Maybe you're my happy place
With in a
Thought that comes
To ease my mind
As I lay down
On my bed
Maybe you are
Maybe you are the stars
I gaze at so far away
The stars I wish upon
The ones that help me stay
Maybe you're the bed
That rest me inside the home
That holds my dreams
Of the love for better things
Maybe you
Maybe you hear my thoughts
& accept them for who I am
Maybe you like my words
& ask me to express myself
Maybe it is
A pillow
My blanket
Your face
That temps me to try another day
Maybe you're the thought that inspires
Me to try
Maybe you're the thought
That I will accept
My friend that I can tell
All my secrets
Because in my mind
You are a star
Where I can see you
Yet so far
Maybe you
Maybe you are just a figure of my imagination
Maybe you really want to hear me
Maybe you really want to know
Maybe I want to look into your eyes
& tell you
You're like my pillow
You're like my blanket
In this time I'm alone
You're like that place
Your preccious face
That makes me feel at home
Maybe you find me comfort
& wrap it in a smile
Maybe for all this
I want to be your slave
Worship my pillow
I named her just the other day
Love of my blanket
Where your heart is so warm
Burning candles for my temple
So warm my happy place
That listens to my words
& tells me I am fine
Maybe you have helped me be fine
A smile to everyday
Longing to read you every word
& waiting to comfort your hurt
Maybe I want to make you feel
As you have made me feel
Maybe I just want you to know
You are my comfort zone

This was a wonderfully warm and beautifully captivating piece.
I am sure your friend can't help but be touched by all
the grace and sincerity found floating in and among each
word; each phrase; each and every thought.
This was so soft, like that of a feather floating down from
the heavens. Truly beautiful. And truly touching.

| A wonderful tribute to a friend...I like the ending I just want you to know you are my comfort zone. Like the comfort of that soft pillow and warm blanket when we are cold and tired.Well done. |

Awww, I think this is really lovely. I have friends like this, and I wish I could write for them, like you can.
A very honest and open write. I love how it's not overly simple, and full of love.
