its not what you do to me
its what i do to myself
i know.
i may seem lost and blind
in all this confusion
ill never find peace
its all ive ever known.
this anxious mind
never satisfied always wanting
always empty lonely
distractions are my life
feel but dont act
think but dont speak
hold on to wishful thinking
for the moment
that is now gone
always passing always settleing always here
fill my head with smoke
cloud over the memories
one day soon i wont remember
one day
i will learn to forget.
