I am empty, alone and disconnected
You stare right past me undetected
Neglected and disrespected
I am only here when you least,
and always expect it
The truth to my word, solid as ground
Yet everytime I need you
Your nowhere to be found
And I feel a sadness undescribable
I hang here motionless holding a bible
Aroma of despair in the air
Bite my lips, and whisper a prayer
Everything is exactly what it seems
Laid to rest on the bed of broken dreams
I died and became apathy
Chained myself to vacancy
I'm the angel of complacency
I do not exist in your world
I've burned the bridges
I've cut the life line
Now all I have left is my mind
Eyes gone blind, solace I cannot find
And I remember your face
I keep it in a state of suspended grace
How did this come to be
Out of all the people that have left me
The one I miss most, is me.
