A Farmer's Tale

Aching bare feet,
roaming lands.
Dirt filled hands,
rough of labored days,
will wipe the sweat off from their heads.
Still the sun will beam,
along the rivers flowing stream
and shine upon bare backs.
Though tired of long hour spent,
upon their knees, day long were bent.
The sun settling a long days work
will soon be put to rest.
I will call on them, come home.
I will holler from the nest.
The fruit you have so hard labored for
the seed we feed this day,
join in hand lets pray.
Thanks to God,
and to the land
and for tomorrow
is not to far away.

| A warm and wonderful tribute to our farmer's.It is a life of hard work for sure. I worry sometimes we are losing the best of our farmers to big industry.Well done . |

Growing up in a farming community I know this so well. They are the heart of our world.
WIthout them and their labors we would be a starving! WOnderful tribute! Written with skill
