Jealousy got the best of me
Last night was a thrill
I got bored and went to his home
He left his house around seven-thirty
I followed him so you know

I questioned all night where he might have gone
I wanted to call him on his cell phone
I wanted to wait till this morning
I caught myself dialing and hung up in a hurry

I took a long shower and cried just a bit
But later heard a noise and began to twitch
I turned off the water and grabbed my plunger
I waited and listened to see if it was the neighbor

I put on my robe and unlatched my door
What if someone is in my house?
I wont be able to get out in time
How about if I yell or climb out the window?

A knock at my bedroom door?
Whose there I think to myself
You silly girl!
My man came here last night you see
But jealousy got the best of me
