The other monkey ate faster He ate my hopes and expectations He ate my illusions; the imaginary connection He bit through the wires and short-circuited the stars
You said I didnt love my ukulele Why would you even tell me? This puzzled me as I sat wide awake at 4am My brain leaked onto the computer screen All my deepest thoughts and impossible dreams Still you didnt ignore me Thats why I sang you happy birthday Thats why you had to know I loved my ukulele
You were behind my eyes yet I couldnt show you Africa Now youre in my soul but I cant always be there for you Im handing you the manuscript of the story of my life Correct the punctuation just dont cast it aside For the sequel may be all about you
