My Greatest Need
My greatest need in life is to be loved
and give all my love in return
Being alone, on a daily basis
is something no one needs to learn
To have someone to talk to
just being there with you
To share your lives, together
in all you say and do
To hold each others hand
discuss, whatever is on your mind
And whenever needed
help you totally unwind
Loving someone, and being loved in return
is the most precious gift, one can receive
Be sure in one's life
in true love you can believe
I long for the day
to find a new love in my life
A truly loving companion
not necessarily, a wife
I await the day
that this might come about
Then my greatest need would be filled
of this, there would be no doubt
