How long have I stood here beside you?
Lead me to a paradise with your enchanting voice
Carry my sleeping spirit unto its death
Give to me something serene to take away my life
For yesterday is behind me like a loaded gun
With a blistering kiss, will the dose of lead corrupt me?
Or am I to fade from this waking life
Taken on a breeze of memories
Bound to the things I can not forget
Never in my life have I held such violent things
Dreams tattooed upon my soul, these are my scars,
The scars that doubt has carved upon me
A strange feeling, I am falling now
Down, down I fall faster and faster
Then, just a bang and clatter as an angel hits the ground
No more do I fear, no more do I doubt
The sky will burn down and I dont care
As I am awakened over and over by dreams of you
Your alluring spirit haunts my mind
And your kiss is intoxicating like a beautiful poison
Resting on your tempting, crimson lips
I will die drowned in your standards
For I do not belong in your reality
As these dreams of you begin to fade, please
Cast me into morning for the night has been unkind
This is the way the world ends
There is no story book ending for me in this fable of you
