  Social

Perfect

Contributed by aplsdka on Wednesday, 2nd May 2007 @ 12:54:51 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Golden stars, shiny cars,

Glossed in high def. color

All straight A's, study days

Sports to fill the lonely haze

A cage of plexiglass that

I can't shatter

If you don't got good grades

Your life is over

I'm still just a kid

Don't make me grow up right now

I've got so many things you've

Forgotten in your rush to make me

Perfect

Light of day, Fades away

Night's surrounding blanket

Time constraints, mental pain

No more chance to get away

A thought of freedom falls

Into the shadows

If you don't got good grades

Your life is over

I'm still just a kid

Don't steal me from my fun

I need so many chances you've

Forgotten in your rush to make me

Perfect

You take your vacations and you take your time

But never forgetting what you've left behind

And with the pains, in silence hides

The useless social suicides

Feel free to let yourself laugh just remember

If you don't got good grades your life is over

Forgotten in your rush to make it perfect

If you don't got good grades your life is over

Ah, the eternal pressure of perfection. It's no reality, and sometimes a dangerous ideal. Just do what you can and what you want, and the rest will work out the way it's supposed to in the end. May you once and again feel the happiness of laziness. Great song!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
