Im going up the stream again, Wont you be my frog? Its a long and treacherous journey, So Ill need a friend along.
Pack my compass, Pack my map, Ive found a whole new way, Instead of going down the stream, Ill go up today!
Sit down Froggy Ill buckle you in, With the belt I got from Uncle Ben.
Put up the sail, were setting off! Up the stream, Like going aloft!
As we go against the current, I notice neighbors passive and learned, Theres the gentle old-man-Grover, And his wife the flower toteler, My friend Patrick, His dog the mutt, The gruff friendly trucker, And a wood- carving nut.
Were getting to the woods now, But whats that I see? Oh no, a bridge! And its too low for me!
I strap on my buckle, And hold Frog tight, Waiting for the crash, Thats sure to end my life.
The mast taps the bridge, My cookies fall off, The adventure is over I blurt in a cough.
Then yet again, Somethings caught my eye, Something on a tree, Bright and nearby.
I pick up Frog and pull up the ship, The Boca Rattan shall not slip!
As I come closer, I see the initials, J+R, In a heart of ripples. Looking at Frog with a big toothy grin, I pull out my knife and begin
Twelve years later, Still carved in that tree, Is J+R, Froggy and me
