Rape

The man on my street was convicted a rape suspect. Hes is always in his window but I show no disrespect. My comments almost slip out, then I have to recollect. Scars on his arm where he always injects. I wonder who the next female he will select. Slap her on her butt, showing extreme disrespect. He chooses the woman that themselves cant protect. Scared out her pants she will not think to reject. He grabs her there and moans a name thats incorrect. He smiles at her and says Youre perfect. She scratches him in the face and runs for the door. He screams in agony and yells, You dirty whore. She gets outside; shes not a prisoner anymore. She stops; I scream What are you stopping for? He runs outside and slaps her to the floor. He grabs her by her legs and drags her to the door. Why didnt she run when she had the chance before? This isnt the end, there has to be more. He gets her upstairs and things get bad. He beats her like a man, and he is feeling glad. He throws her in the tub and makes her take a bath. She turns around in tears and cries Please stop, DAD.

It is a sad poem indeed...
your expressions were appropriate to the subject.

So much of this exists that never gets spoken of. We need to tell the stories so others can protect themselves or feel safe when it is reported. A good piece.
