His eyes shine
Bright once more
For he met her
On the other shore
Light is their spirits
Full are their hearts
They know now
They will not again part
Walking Heavens shores
Hand in hand they roam
No pain or illness, only joy
They are forever home
How wonderful the sight
Of these lovers together again
For being with each other
Was always their true Heaven

Oh Shari, this was a very touching write. I started thinking of the many elderly couples I've taken care of in nursing, before I read the poem. Yes, it seems to be that way, their ultimate joy is again being together. I have seen more than a few couples...once one dies...the other shortly follows. As a geriatric nurse, we would almost expect one to pass then the other.

This made me cry. It is sad in the fact they have both now departed our eathly plain but I am overjoyed they are together once more.
The way you wrote this shined a light on the beauty of death and mourning because two hearts will forever be together in eternity
