Your beautiful eyes, my lover
even after all of this
Capture me
Enrapture me
They seem to call out
beckoning me
to come Home
I see you shining
then fading again
when memories
come bearing down
at my door
Close my eyes
look away
Never stare into the sun
for rods and cones shall
surely burn
blindness is a horrid thing
gaining sight is empowering
at its' least
One gains visions of future
Pass my way
for I am warm and inviting
my heart is open for you
my soul is filled with your being
we shall walk hand and hand
track through swamps
traverse mountains high
~~we shall survive~~

Your belief and joy in your love is heartwarming.
The last stanza is exquisite, demonstrating your understanding of the highs and lows of love.

Dear, sweet, unwavering Laura! This is one of the most beautiful
and uplifting testaments to the endurance and trial of love that
I've ever read. It is literally filled to capacity with hope, devotion
and wonder!! In a word, DH, overwhelming!!
I am ever impressed, inspired and in admiration of you,
your strength and conviction and your undying loyalty and
love, once given. You are a living example of the power and beauty
of love, my dear sis. And one that all should take notice of and
applaud. You are a most caring and unique soul. Love to you and
Damon both, sweets. Thinking of you with hopes and wishes
for your burdens to ease as time progresses.
