Mum
I am a person completely whole
I know it is to you I owe everything
You gave me my entire soul
My heart you pieced together by hand
From you I first glimpsed life
From you I received my first breath
And although at times I can cause you strife
Which leaves us both bereft,
I can still feel you holding me so tight
I can smell your loving perfume
Forever you are my guiding light
That, I know I can safely assume
Even when I leave you and roam this world free
I can never doubt what you have done
That you care for me so tenderly
I cant help but love you mum.
