When you look into the mirror,
Do you see bare truth or a reality you created for yourself?
When you speak,
Do you say what others want to hear or what you mean?
When you live,
Do you follow a society overflowing with hypocrisy or follow your own heart?
When you smile,
Do you mean it or are you putting up a front?
When you love,
Do you follow the millions of adulterers or are you faithful?
When you laugh,
Do you do it from the bottom of your soul or is it just because?
When you disagree with someone,
Do you shut your mouth or speak up for your beliefs?
When you have a problem,
Do you face it head-on or do you cower in the distance while others tell you what to do?
In life, there are so many decisions to make.
My hope is that every individual will aspire to continue their search
for what is right and what is just.
Life never doesnt have obstacles,
but it is the ways in which we overcome those obstacles that makes every hard time worth the effort.
And when a person decides that no one is there for them,
I want them to know that I once was very much like you.
But I fought for the life I didnt deserve but I needed,
And no matter how much pain you feel, someone in the world knows that same pain.
Someone in the world knows exactly how you feel.
Someone in the world has struggled, much like you and has overcome.
So,
My ultimate desire
Is for you
To fight back
And show the world
That you mean something too.
