Tear drops on fire Burn through her soul Tear drops on fire Never leave her alone
Through the night she dreams Of lonely nights she feels And in her mind it comes The sound of distant drums
They call out her name And they seem not to whisper They detail a memory of coming But they seem not to come at all
What is it that they say Can they release her in a way? Can they fill her with a new life To breathe in her lonely nights?

I liked this poem. Each stanza left me with something amazing. The second stanza my fav....with "the sound of distant drums" . I could hear their rhythm. The ending stanza was nice with the questions. (I hope the answer is yes). Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura |
