Corspe Of An Angel.

Contributed by bleedthelove on Saturday, 19th May 2007 @ 02:42:50 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I look into the sun
Searching for a reflection of you
But even if your soul could shine that bright
These tears of blood would obstruct my view
Too much time has passed
So many tears I've shed
And my blood continues flowing
But I'm already dead
Heart empty of will
Its beauty lost, its love bled out
Cold and still
And if you were to look
To where I once had been
You'd see the garden has died
You could have kept it alive
But you never even tried
Now all thats left is a cemetery
Where shattered dreams reside
Cuz too much time has passed
Too many days of sadness
Too many months of decay
I'm now the corpse of an angel
So I'll take my cue and rot away
As my dreams have come to symbolize
Shards of glass that have cut out my eyes
Now I'm blind to your light, numb to the pain
And lost to the past like tears in the rain
With nothing left to ever be the same
Trace your fingertips through my blood
And spell out your name
Take pride in the life that you took that day
While I take my cue...
And rot away
