The ideal set before you,
The force to put behind you
all the things that you held on to.
See whats ahead,
Forget what you left
as you press towards the future.

No more gripping,
No more clinging to
all the things you held on to.
See that light thats right there?
Its shining down the path
as you press towards the future.

Now fly, jump,
Youre free of
all the things that you held on to.
Up higher, forward faster,
Sing into the wind,
as you press towards the future.

Ah, youre seeing now,
They were really all pointless,
all the things you held on to.
Feel how light you are now?
Feel how much farther you can go
as you press towards the future.

Its okay, you can laugh.
Laugh at everything,
all the things you held on to.
Unimaginable happiness is yours,
Unfathomable peace you hold
as you press towards the future.

One more thing, free bird,
Now that youve gone away from
all the things you held on to.
Maybe, as you twirl and smile,
Youll come back and get me,
as we press towards the future.
