Farewell; Fairy-tale, hello reality. Its been sweet, like honey, brown sugarBut now you must depart; white Knight, In armour strong and bright..
this princess has cut off her hair, no longer needs you there.
Journey home, valiant saviour, full of courage, good intentions. Remove your armour, put down your shield, your part in this fight is over.
I watch you ride off into the distance.. ..horse back, an unused sword in my place on the saddle.
I weep for the moment, but I smile in the hope, Soon youll be in my sight again.
I make my own way down the tower, Without my knight there to catch me..this time. My journey, alone begins.
My only companion, The Sun Leaves me cold, abandoned. Nearing my goal, she returns warm beams of kindness melt my icy skin breaking me loose of the winter wrath.. revealing my inner most form.. out comes the truth, the honesty and the beauty.
I journeyed a far to your castle, Finally, I am there. One more night then youre mine a voice says So I venture into the gardens To find a place to rest.. I reach the gardens, a bed of roses. I curl up as the Sun goes down. Followed by eyelids, eye lashes I shiver in my sleep for you, in the dark, I call out to you through dreams. In these dreams we kiss the stars, pick them from the night.
Look from your high Tower I pray, Notice me here, amongst the roses. Save me one last time, but no
As each thorn pierces my new skin, the white petals become red My skin like the white was.
The Sun slowly rises to a new day, I sleep unnoticed, alone like my journey. I awake, run to your doors, With arms wide open I take you. I kiss your scars, cradle your heart, and squeeze you breathless, tight. The fight is over, returned to you A warrior.

I thought this was a good write...I enjoyed the story, and also liked the idea of transformation in the poem.
